Meet James Webb Author :
Mr. James Webb, Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I live in Michigan with my wife and our three children. We have lived here for the past fifteen years. We moved here after I separated from the Army. I did a tour in Iraq.
How many hours a day do you write?
I write anywhere from an hour to several hours a day.
How many unpublished and half-finished books do you have?
I would say at least a half dozen.
How long on average does it take you to write a book?
At least a couple of months.
Where did you get the idea for your recent book?
It came as it was written..
How did you develop your plots?
I allow the creativity of the story to guide the story.
How do you select the names of your characters?
I select the names for my characters after I develop the character. I let their personality dictate.
If you didn’t write, what would you do for work?
I would be either an artist or a chef.
How did you get inspired to write your recent book?
I was inspired to write as therapy for PTSD.
What is your favorite childhood book?
The Chronicles Of Narnia by C.S. Lewis.
What are you currently working on?
I am currently working on a sequel to this novel.
What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Write from your heart, do not push the story, let it flow and be honest.
What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Being allowed to be creative, your coworkers respect you (you created them at least)
