It’s not unusual for a female CEO to face resistance from her male colleagues in a male-dominated field or company. It’s irritating when women put in the same amount of effort as males but don’t get the same rewards. You may have to continually challenge biases and stereotypes based on your gender. But we women are used to facing challenges. We are strong, ingenious, and unyielding in the face of adversity. We are confident in our abilities and potential regardless of our gender, and we will keep fighting for equal treatment at work. We must set an example for future female leaders and fight for equal representation in positions of power.

Being a woman, I can identify to the view that we are social creatures hardwired from birth to seek and develop consensus. I was raised to prioritize the needs of others, listen carefully, and not speak my mind too often. These traits can serve us well in many contexts, but they also have the potential to cause us to underestimate our own value and worth. Even though I know I have something important to add to meetings at work, I often find it difficult to raise my hand and do so. It’s taken me a while to figure out how to assert myself in a way that’s genuine and true to who I am, taking into account the ways in which my upbringing and cultural expectations have shaped my behavior. Self-awareness is a work in progress, but I understand that doing so is crucial to my development as a person and an employee.
5. Building a support network:
As a woman in business, I know firsthand how crucial it is to surround oneself with encouraging people. It’s important to have the support and counsel of seasoned mentors while starting a firm, since they may help smooth the way and ensure success. Finding effective mentors and role models can be challenging for women. Unfortunately, many professional circles are still dominated by men, so it can be difficult for women to find role models who can connect to their experiences and offer the kind of guidance they require to advance their careers. Because of this, it’s not surprising that nearly half of female founders cite a lack of available mentors and advisors as a barrier to their success. While this is true, I believe that the professional landscape will alter to make it simpler for future generations of female founders to receive the support they need to thrive as more women break into entrepreneurship and develop great enterprises.
6. Balancing business and family life:
As a mom and business owner, I know firsthand the difficulty of managing work and family commitments. Achieving that illusive work-life balance can feel like an unattainable feat when it comes to finding the time to give your full attention to both. But I think it’s feasible to achieve at both if you put in the time and effort. Time management and setting priorities have been key for me. To make sure I can be there for my loved ones at the most momentous times, I plan my work and meetings around their schedules. Having a partner, family, or group of trusted professionals who can assist you in managing both aspects of your life is also crucial. While being a parent and an entrepreneur certainly does not come without its share of difficulties and compromises, it is possible to achieve success in both realms with the proper frame of mind and approach.
